Road Trip Day 3: Down by the river
Wow humidity is not fun. But other than the sticky hot miserable weather, San Antonio is a great city. Yesterday we saw the Alamo and partied on the riverwalk.
We ate at a restaurant called Dick's Last Resort, which is not just a clever name. The waiters are intentionally rude! It's a blast. If you ask for napkins, they will throw them at you. One of the waiters walked past my mom and said, "There's no table dancing here, lady." Sometimes they walk up and put these big paper hats on your head that say mean things. Mine, for example, said IT'S MY BIRTHDAY AND ALL I GOT WAS MY PERIOD. The funnest thing about this place is that the customers are allowed to throw napkins too (there are rules to napkin throwing listed, such as they must be dry)!! So it ends up being like a big food fight (minus the food) with everyone throwing paper napkin balls at across the room, trying to hit someone or land one in an unsuspecting beverage.
I'm so glad we chose Dick's over the fancy restaurant we originally planned on...dining out is so much more fun when the waiters are yelling obscenities and you can throw things!! Oh, and I just found out there's a Dick's in Boston. Woohoo!
