Sephora product reviews: Kat Von D and Urban Decay

Yesterday my Sephora order arrived, and I had to share the fabulosity.

First, unwrapping the Kat Von D eyeshadow palette filled me with the sort of glee Charlie Bucket felt finding the golden ticket in a Wonka bar. I guess I'm a sucker for packing. It came wrapped in tissue paper inside a matte black box. And the compact itself is lovely!

I immediately had to start playing with the colors. The two slim brushes that come with it are great for applying the color in exact areas, such as the brow bone or the inner corner of the eye. Although for richer, broader application I had to use a more traditional eye shadow sponge. The colors are just gorgeous! I especially like the soft sparkly yellow and deep purple.


I also have to mention a second product that I mainly purchased to get free shipping on the order. It was the 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Bourbon from Urban Decay.

I'm loving this eyeliner. The color is soft & shimmery and it really does glide on like butter! It goes on like a liquid with the precision of a pencil. I'm planning to buy several more colors in this line.

I have an online shopping addiction

And I need to be stopped. Luckily, payday arrives tomorrow to save the day.

But seriously, I couldn't help it. This eyeshadow palette from the new Kat Von D collection at Sephora is so fab!

San Diego Trip

I have been away from work for the last couple of days and are on a short vacation. I am feeling great! Me and my babe went to San Diego over the weekend to get away for a bit. We went to infamous San Diego Zoo and see RED BULL air race right by San Diego Bay. I had such a great time and great trip. We really need this trip for sure and I am honestly not looking forward to get back to work at all.

Spuddy AKA Mister Spudder

I saw Daria showing off her hot puppy "Dexter" a couple of days ago. I decided to put my lovely bunny "Spuddy" picture up on our blog also. Now he is pretty cute ha?

Blue Monday

If this is true, I am deeply saddened. Yes -- it's partly because I'm jealous and want him for myself. But honestly, they don't seem like a good couple. ScarJo needs someone more brooding, more tragic, and a little strange. Someone who will make her pout and feel sophisticated. She doesn't deserve Ryan's hotness and sense of humor. And she already hooked up with Josh Harnett! Oh the injustice.

To all the Los Angeles haters...

The number one reason I hear people complain about L.A. is the traffic. Yes, it can be horrendous. BUT, those people usually haven't lived through a New England winter or taken public transportation on a humid day.

Also, take note. It could be worse. On Forbes recent list of the Best and Worst Cities for Commuters, Los Angeles only ranked 9 out of 10!

And apparently, if you want to avoid a hellish commute you have to move to places like Buffalo, N.Y., Salt Lake City or Milwaukee. Um...I'll take my chances on the 405 on my way to the beach, thanks.

Traffic = Place many people actually want to live.
